HIV Test Results For People With Weak Immune System + Tests After Blood Loss

Dear Doctors:

Day 1: I had sex with a prostitute in India. Used condom, but my penis was very soft. What is the risk? I also shaved my pubic hair 1 hour before sex. Her fluid got on my shaved area. What is the risk of this? Can the HIV virus from her fluid get into my blood?

Day 27: I had a car accident and lost an estimated 1.5 pint of blood.

Between Day 17 and Day 40: I had diarrhea, sore throat, mouth infection, pimple or rash on face, fungus on my balls and penis which was red and very itchy, muscle and joint pain and fatigued. I had chills and mild cold sweat, but my fever was never above 99.6F.

Day 37: I had “HIV 1 RNA/TMA” and “HIV2 DNA/RNA PCR” tests done. Both results were negative. Do you think my blood loss had any effect on this test result?

Day 93: I did HIV 1/2 AB EIA tests. Result negative. I do have a weak immune system, since I easily get cold. Do you think with my weak immune system this test result is conclusive at this point?

Do I have HIV?

Thanks!

You never had a risk in the first place and never required testing.Your negative result is proof you don't have HIV and there is no such event as latent seroconversion unless maybe if you are a chemotherapy patient on medication. You can move on now.

Is this conclusive? But what about my symptoms?

Does a weak immune system delays Seroconversion?

No.

Your tests are irrelevant as you never needed any.
