HIV Transmission Through Blood Drawing

I was recently in the hospital and had blood drawn around 12am.  About 8 hours later I had my blood drawn again and it appeared that this time, the phlebotomist/nurse did not change gloves between patients.  Two people had blood drawn before me and were in and out within several seconds of each other, as I was when I went in.  She was taking blood very quickly.  Since I was suspicious I asked her to change gloves for me and she did.  However, it appeared she was handling equipment (e.g., opened an alcohol swab, etc) with the old gloves.  We took my bandage off from the blood drawn around 12am.  She swiped my arm with an alcohol swab and there was blood on my arm.  I am worried that it wasn;t my blood and might be blood from usage of old gloves and prior patients.  I am worried about possible risk to HIV.  Please provide as much info as possible.  If any of this isnt clear, or you need further info please let me know.  Thank you.

So, the nurse used a cotton swab with someone else's blood on it, yet you didn't say anything?

It COULD very well be that she was using betadine to clean the area, which is a brown color, often mistaken for blood in the medical field.  No way did she use a visibly soiled cotton ball on you.

In the event she DID it still would not present a risk.  The "blood" on the cotton ball could not contain an active HIV virus.

My concern is that the alcohol swab had someone elses blood on it when she wiped it across my arm, where I had blood drawn the night prior. Also concerned that the "other persons" blood was at the new injection site.

If I had blood drawn 8 hours prior and then took off the bandage for her to immediately take blood, is it possible it was my  own blood that appeared when she wiped my arm with the alcohol swab, even though the location was dried from the overnight bandaging?

Not an HIV concern.

Please also note that she inserted the needle about 1/2 inch from the injection site from 8 hours earlier, where the blood had smeared around via the alcohol swab.
