HIV anxiety and worry.

Hi, in the last 16 months I've had 7 hiv tests all neg and I've felt great. About 7 weeks ago I was doing training with a group of people at work. After the training I was unpacking the equipment and I noticed that I had scraped my knuckle on my left hand on something. It was a small cracked skin area on my knuckle and it was bleeding a bit and I had some dried blood on the back of my hand. Needles to say I've been having anxiety and worry over this, of course i haven't been feeling great. I went to dr and he said I have allergies, but my ocd and anxiety says otherwise. I  keep thinking what if someone cut themselves on the same thing I scraped my knuckle on and I've been exposed to their blood! haven't done anything to put myself at risk. Please help me with advice. Do I need to get tested? Thank you for all the help that's given on this site.

Hi there,

HIV isn't transmitted this way.  In adults, it's transmitted via genital sex (anal or vaginal), or by sharing IV needles.
