HIV from cut

I accidently cut my finger earlier today and 7-8 hours later I had a physical altercation with a stranger whose HIV status I'm not aware of. I had a band aid around that finger since it had been cut but without neosporin. During the altercation, my band aid came off and I had stains on my shirt which looked like blood to me.

Thank you for easing my mind.

Your readings are incorrect, your cut had stopped bleeding which created a barrier. Even if it was bleeding it was very small and not enough blood would have given you the exposure.

Thanks for the reply Teak. Can you just please elaborate more on why my incident is considered a non-exposure? I read on many sites about having cuts and blood going in the cuts being a HIV risk.

You didn't have an exposure.

My concern was what if I got some blood into that cut. Even though my finger had stopped bleeding, the cut still looked fresh and the inside of the cut was still very red looking. Can I possibly get HIV?
