HIV test by mistake

After been exposed to HIV if you test negative at 11 weeks(by mistake thinking it was 12wk) and it comes back negative what are the chances that you will test positive after 3 month and do I really need to test again?

Personally, I do not think you have anything to gain by getting a test a week later.

What do you mean about saliva Frank? Why is it different for saliva?

UK is 12 weeks for a blood test, 14 for saliva, plasma non full blood.
Should be fine, did you not discuss this with the Clinician before or after?

After been exposed to HIV.
How do you know that you have been exposed to HIV? What scientific evidence do you have to be certain that you have bene exposed to HIV? Are you certain the person you either slept has HIV? Or are you in the medical field and you may have been exposed.
What knowledge do you have that shows you were exposed to HIV? 11 weeks is conclusive but if your concerned re-test in another additional 3 months. Because it is not healthy for your state of mind to re-test for HIV in an additional week. Wait 3 months but 11 weeks is conclusive by a majority or expert Doctors who study HIV.

At 8 weeks 98-99% of the people that are infected would have tested positive, by the time of your test this would be even more accurate, so I dont think the test result will change in one week.

Hope it helps
