Lisa, an HIV test taken after 5 weeks is highly accurate (over 95% accurate). You should know however that certain agencies recommend a 3-month waiting period before the test.
If you test negative, it will be an encouraging result at this point. However, nobody can call your result conclusive or difinitive. If you want to get a conclusive result, retest at the three month mark.
