HIV tests

Well first of all sorry for my english i will try to be as specific as possible..!
48 ago i gave unprotected oral sex to a guy.! he seemed to be ok although you cannot judge someone by his outfit.! anyway i known this guy for a while i mean he is not completely unknown.!
during the oral sex i swallowed a small amount of cum the rest i spill it out..! sorry again for my english..!
I had no symptoms at all but the fear of hiv got into my head after a week.! so i did an hiv duo test at 37th day post exposure (5th week) and another hiv ab test at 45 days..! Both came back negative.!
After 2 days of the second test i feel pain at the right side of my neck only and my lymphs there are swell i also have a pain in my back at the same side..!
1) Is possible after two days of the 2nd negative test to start my ARS symptoms?
2) If i do a third test lets say on tuesday and that swollen lymphs are indeed hiv will the test become positive? or it needs more time?
3) Is possible both of my tests were false negative ?
4) Here in greece local official sites for hiv say 2 months after exposure if the test is negative you dont need any further testing so my last test was 45 days which means withon 7th week post exposure and it was negative. within 7 more days is possible a test to become positive without any sign of intermediate in the test one week before??

i have lost my sleep please i need your advise..!

Welcome to the forum.  Your English is fine.

Oral sex is safe sex, with a very low chance of HIV transmission.  One estimate is that the oral partner has 1 chance in 10,000 of becoming infected, if the penile partner is infected.  That is equivalent to giving oral sex to infected men once a day for 27 years before infection might be expected.  Second, in people with new HIV infections, the modern HIV tests are virtually always positive at the times you were tested, i.e. within 6-8 weeks of exposure.  Third, you symptoms do not suggest ARS.  Symptoms or ARS start 10-20 days after exposure; yours were much too late.  To your questions:

1) No, this isn't possible.

2) You don't need any further testing.  See a doctor if your symptoms continue; but don't worry about HIV as the cause.

3) No.

4) I agree with the official advice from your country's public health authorities.  Your 7 week test is close enough to 2 months.  You don't need any further tests.  Combined with the low risk nature of your exposure plus the test results, you can be 100% confident you did not catch HIV during that sexual exposure.

I hope this helps.  Best wishes--  HHH, MD

Yes, that test is 100% accurate.  You can be absolutely sure you did not catch HIV.

That will be all for this thread.  Please try to forget this incident and move on with your life.

sorry dear doc one more and last question cause as i said my english are not that good and i would't like to misunderstood something.! the test i had at 37 days was for both HIV I II Ab and P24 Antigen and the result was negative ..! that test you mean is 100% accurate?? the other one at 45 days was simple HIV Ab and was also negative, so you mean that the combination of those two tests are enough to be sure that i dont have HIV..! i understand correct right doc???

Actually, until now I didn't realize one of your tests was a duo test, i.e. a test for both HIV antibody and p24 antigen.  The comments above relate only to the stand-alone antibody tests.  The duo tests are 100% reliable 4 weeks or more after exposure.  There is no chance you caught HIV or that any other test would be positve at any time.

you have been very helpful doc and i really appreciated.!
So just to see if i got it crystal clear..! you mean that if it was hiv , the duo at 37 days or the hiv ab at 45 days should be positive or better one of the two should habe shown something by that time..!! i know that i might repeating the question i already make you but you know the anxiety is such circumstances..! there are no chances a test at 60 days to become positive when the one at 37 days am the one at 45 were negative??? have you ever seen something like this to happen..! thanks again you were so helpful..!
