i was bitten by a person on high HIV risk and a cut was developed. I got PEP 32 Hrs later. my questions are
1) what are the chances of HIV Virus presence in saliva?
2) How effective is PEP after being taken according to doctors prescription and specifically  32 hrs after  exposure?
3) what can one do to improve effeciency or and effectiviness of PEP?

I understand you have live 24 years with the Virus. Is it possible to live such long with the virus? What has been your 'secret' for the achievement.

Hi, I have only read of one case of HIV through biting, and on that occassion there was deep tissue damage. I think it was a bite in a prison, and they may have been fighting, if I remeber correctly. Their blood would have to get into yours, and so they would have to be bleeding as well, so if the person who bit you wasn't bleeding the chance of getting anything is close to zero, but if they were bleeding, say with a busted lip, then that might be different, hope that helps.

1. Saliva is not infections
2. You should have never been given PEP
3. Nothing
