HIV what are the risks

I recently had a massage with by a young man, (19). This massage went further to include unprotected oral sex only. I received oral for approx 5 minutes and gave oral for approx 1 minute or less. I have never ever done anything like this before and up till now, still don’t know why I did. I have checked with this young man as to his condition who informed me that he was HIV negative and generally clean. He apparently knows what the risks are said he knows what he can do or can’t do without risk.

I have taken an STD test and HIV just over 1 week since the event with my results being negative in all facets. I was curious to know your thoughts on my risks.

Hi Mitch

thanks again yeah i know to relax, i do feel tired and my glands in my neck are up though, what do you think is due too. my muscles a bit sore. I know these are similar symptons of HIV.

I guess i am paranoid about what i have done and the outcome.

hope to hear from you.

Good news about the STD tests.  Presence of blood in the mouth, won't make a difference to your HIV risk, still zero, relax!

Hi Mitch

i do remember spitting whilst showering immidately afterwards and noticed some blood from my mouth. There was no fluids I could see whilst or during giving oral. not sure what this means? I only gave for a very short time.

It's not a risk for HIV, so no need to test fro that, is a risk for a couple of other STD's however

Hi Teak

Once again thanks for your reply’s I don’t want to seem like I am worrying unnecessary, but my muscles ache etc. I am aware from research as to some of the symptoms of HIV. I guess I am just trying to put my mind and body at ease. My GP has suggested another test in 4 weeks, is it worthwhile checking again earlier than this?

Thanks
