Worried about HIV Risk

Hello Doctor. I'm worried about my risk of contracting HIV. I had protected sex with a guy whom I met online 3 weeks ago. I was the insertive top (protected). He also performed unprotected oral on me.

The next day, I went to my doctor because I was worried and started PEP about 19 hours later (Truvada/Isentress).

A couple of days ago, I was able to reach the guy again and he was nice enough to test with me. He came out HIV negative and we were both given Azythromicyn in case we had any other STIs.

What's the risk? Could he still be HIV+ and could I have been at risk of catching it? I have 1 more week left on PEP. I'm getting very worried. I'd love some reassurance please. Thank you!

I realize that now. I was very anxious and I convinced him to be better safe than sorry.

Thanks for your quick answer. I guess I'll have to wait and see. I'm reassured knowing he tested negative after 3 weeks which means he should have been negative when we were together.

Hi,  you had no risk. The risk is from unprotected insertive vaginal/anal sex.
