Just a refined question

Hi all,
I have recently visited an Asian massage parlour where a Thai girl done a deepthroat oral on me with a condom she was doing it fairly rough and then she took it off and masturbated me while she put the condom on a vibrator and wanted to insert it into my annus, after I stopped her she rolled it off and put it on her finger as she fingered my anus.after this we had protected sex for about 1 minute everything seemed to be ok with the condom,is it possible to contract anything from her saliva or would it be possible that some virus could have got on condom from the sex toy or vaginal fluid??It was three weeks ago and I started to have some swollen lymph nodes after 2 weeks of anxiety...Can you give me an answer??

Welcome to the forum.

You had brief but accurate replies on the HIV and STD community forums -- but your replies there suggest you are having trouble understanding or believing them.  However, HIV is rarely if ever transmitted by oral sex.  Some experts believe it never happens at all, and others point to an analysis by CDC (the US national public health agency) suggesting an average risk of 1 in 20,000 if the oral partner has HIV -- which is equivalent to receiving BJs by infected partners once daily for 55 years before transmission might be expected.  Fingering, kissing, hand-genital contact, etc are entirely risk free.  Further, the large majority of sex and massage workers -- Asian, Thai, or whatever -- do not have HIV.  (And if your use of "Mate" means you are in Australia, the chance is even lower.  Heterosexual HIV transmission is rare there.)

The risk of other STDs is higher, but still low.  The main ones from receiving oral sex are gonorrhea, nongonococcal urethritis (NGU), and herpes due to HSV-1.  But all these are very unlikely after only a single exposure.

All in all, your risk is low enough that testing for HIV really isn't necessary at all, and testing for other STDs is optional in the absence of symptoms like discharge of pus or mucus from the penis, or penile blisters or sores (all of which would start within 1-2 weeks).  But of course you can consider testing if you would like the reassurance of negative test result.

Are you in fact in Australia?  If so, take advantage of the world's very best network of public STD/HIV clinics.  Without exception, Australia's sexual health centres -- in all major urban areas -- are superb.  You'll get the most accurate, understanding services that exist anywhere.

Not likely, and no STD risk even if such "particles" were present.  How could that happen anyway, assuming the condom was not reused after another client?

Hi Doc,
Thanks for your answer!!I would only have one more question..do you think that some blood or skin particles(virus) could have been transferred in to me on the condom that the girl used on me?

THANKS
