Hi I have read alot of things on this site however now I feel like it is my time to write something.

Here is my situation: I currently live in Korea and one night after my girlfriend broke up with me I got drunk with my friends and ended up with a sex worker by the end of the night. She put the condom on me and I checked it to make sure there were no rips in it. We had sex with about 5 min then she took the condom off and gave me a hand job with some lubricant. After 5 min of this she was about to use the same condom again when I sat up and said, no way!!!! It probably would have been inside out too. So I demanded she get another one. After 1 min of talking she left the room and I hope to god she got another one cause I may have pissed her off. Anyway she came back and it's weird here cause they unroll the condom first then put it on you. When she put it on I checked again to make sure there were no rips and that it was on nice and tight. It was. Then we had sex for another 5 min and again she took it off and gave me a hand job with some lube. I couldn't *** so I got fed up and left. When I walked back home about 30min later. I checked my penis to make sure everything was ok, there was alot of lube on it and I noticed a pimple on my shaft. I wanted to make sure it wasn't a possible area for HIV to enter so I squeezed it to make sure that it was protected properly. However at this point it popped. Hence I now had an opening.

My questions for possible risks include:
1. If she did decide to reuse the old condom inside out her vaginal fluids would still be over it and hence be constantly rubbing on my penis, could this be an alarm for a possible infection. (pretty sure she must have got a new one though)

2. When I came home and popped that pimple accidentally, could that be a possible risk for HIV to enter my blood stream at that point. (the pimple was low enough on the shaft not to be covered by the condom)

3. The Lube was water based would this help preserve HIV on my penis or help prevent?

I don't need to tell you I'm freaking out here, it's been about a week now I just want to know what my risk of exposure is. I know South Korea has a very low HIV incident rate but this is not helping me. Any advice would be great

thanks

Reuse and recycling is only good when it comes to natural resources. f course, not cor condoms. You did the right thing and remained careful, even after taking liquor. I appreciate that.

Hope she did not reuse the latex on you and brought a fresh one for the next episode. If so, you do not have to worry about, you had protected sex. HIV can not enter through normal intact skin and the only places on your tool are "urethra" and inner foreskin (if you are uncircumcised). There may be other reason for pimple to appear.

I am not sure about "potency" of water based lubes against HIV, but what I heard that some of the spermicides on condom do kill HIV.

Since you are in doubt about condom, I would suggest you to get yourself tested, only to seek peace of mind. Good Luck

Hey what do you think about opening a fresh wound 30min after possible HIV exposure and lube and possible vaginal fluids near the cut?

What causes the "opening" of a fresh wound after sex ? Did you shave off your pubes? Anyway, it is a no risk situation if the cut was created after the exposure.

hahahaha no I went home and examined my penis and noticed there was a pimple on the shaft which would have been exposed to vaginal fluids. So I squeezed it to make sure it was closed the whole time it was cause then it popped. But am I at risk 30min after with possible vaginal fluids on my shaft near my recently exposed opening?

pimples on normal skin are not the recognized "gateways" for HIV, neither before, nor during, and not even after the exposure.

But isn't it still a pathway into the bloodstream? Also sorry man you've answered alot for me but if she didn't switch the condom and I was using a condom inside out with vaginal fluids that contained HIV would I be screwed?

As far as I know, only open cuts and bleeding wounds that offer serious threat, not the ordinary pimples. As I told you earlier, it is not recommended to reuse the condom again for any fresh episode and strongly advised to always use a fresh one.

Inside out of course carries risk, because its exterior (now interior) surface always rich in her vaginal secretions a potentially dangerous body fluid, comes in contact with whole length of your tool, including mucus membrane.

Korean sex workers need to be taught more about proper usage of condoms.

Water base lube do not prevent HIV. Spermicides on condoms, do not kill HIV. You had protected sex so you were never at risk.

First of all Teak and meworried thanks for everything! Just have one more question. I've read alot online about HIV surviving in the outside environment. Do you guys know how long it takes for it to die. (ie when I opened that cut on my penis 30min after sex) <-- would that be enough time for the HIV to die in the Vaginal fluids? Also if she did put the condom on inside out which I'm pretty sure she didn't, then would most of the virus have died already anyway because it was exposed to air for 5 min? Does lube help protect the virus from the air and hence keep it alive longer in exposed areas like the shaft of my penis?

HIV isn't alive to begin with. It takes a host (another person) to keep hiv active. Yes, there are ways for labs to keep the virus active, but in the real world HIV when exposed to air, ph changes, or water it causes the outer protective shell of the virus to get damage and it is no longer able to infect.

Do the Vaginal fluids have to dry before the virus dies? Do water based lubricants help maintain Vaginal fluid viscosity and hence allow the virus to stay in a place where it is comfortable (vaginal fluids) thereby not breaking down the protective shell. Or does it help to break down the protective shell. (30min after sex is the protective shell damaged, when on say skin from a penis shaft?)
