Hiv - Sex Toy

Hi,

I clicked on your link from the freedomhealth website.

The other night I got stupidly drunk & visited a massage parlour. I had protected sex briefly & the eastern european lady used a dildo on my anus she also used her fingers. She defiantly wore a condom on her fingers & i think but am not entirely sure that she used a condom on the dildo. She didnt use the dildo on her self, she had it by the side of the bed in a pouch & it seemed clean, no obvious fluid on it. The day after it happened I noticed blood in my anus when I cleaned myself & I was sore. Are my concerns of contracting hiv justified, should I consider taking the 28 day duo test?

your help is much appreciated.

Multiple-person use of sex toys is not a risk for HIV transmission.  Toys can have bacteria on them, including specific types that are sexually transmitted, but HIV cannot live or reproduce outside the human body.  If you go to a parlor again and use toys, be sure to put condoms on them for mere sanitation.  But, to stress again, it is not a risk for HIV.
