Hiv and period sex

Hi there,

To make a long story short, I had unprotected sex with my girlfriend from Colombia in august. 3 months later, she passed an HIV I/II test, both negative (Her result is 0.06 ...I am not quite sure, but the lab guy told her she is "totally" negative). I know she is from Colombia, and that in a way I always think their equipment is not as good, she went to a private laboratory http://www.labechavarria.com/; quite known in Colombia! They took a blood sample and had the results two days later. Is this an Elisa test? is it safe? are the results correct?

I only tested negative 9 weeks from that encounter...because I thought that if she is negative well, I didn't need to worry about it.

Last week, we had sex during her period using a condom, got some blood over my skin and I started to freakout thinking about this HIV. It's like the fear of my life! And more as I tell her, she gets annoyed because she says she did go to the laboratory and got tested negative, so she doesn't understand why I am so worrying.

thank you

as long as you used a condom you had NO RISK..
the blood cant just penetrate your skin so no worries
plus she tested negative..why would you not believe her test when you said the private lab is well known in colombia..
either way, you had no risk..don mess with your head
