I am stressed please help

I had unprotected sex with a stripper when she was on her periods, and it’s been 42 days since then. I have experienced flu like symptoms and watery diarrhea. I got tested for hiv with ginger pricking test (most probably 4th gen) and HIV -1 RNA qualitative test at 40 days and got both negative. Please let me know whether I am safe or do I need to get any other tests done ? Really appreciate your help. Thank you.

Your 4th gen hiv test at 40 days rsult are conclusive that your not infected.
Most hiv expert agreed that for 4th gen hiv test the window period is only 28 days.

Hi zell_lin,

Thank you for your reply. I got a 4th gen ag/ab test done at 43rd day and got my result as Negative. Is that result conclusive or else do I need to get the test done at 3 months after as well ? Please suggest as I am really worried.

Thanks in advance
No need for further testing as long as youre sure its a 4th gen test.

Your results are conclusive. You do not have HIV. If I were you I'd forget about this entire incident and move on with your life!
