Worried Again Again about HIV

Hello Again.

Sorry, this is my second question in less than one month. This might sound a little stupid of a question, but i've read so many things on the same topic and still can't get peace of mind.

While i was in China, i took the metro. Suddently i looked at my hand and saw blood on my second finger. It was a cut a little deep. I am a worried, there was too many people, and bad people happens to exist in this world, what if someone cut himself with something and cut me back in my hand directly, could that be an HIV risk? I had in my back pocket a map and a metro card, which both have sharp borders, maybe when i tried to get them i cut myself, i dont really know what happened, but bottom line i am worried, should i ??

Welcome back to our Forum.  In reading this and your earlier post, it appears that you have a rather paranoid outlook towards blood and blood exposure.  The theme of my reply is similar to the reply you received earlier from Dr. Handsfield- while you may have unknowingly cut your finger, the chance that this was done to you, possibly intentionally, by a person with HIV is most unrealistic.  I urge you to not worry about the scenario you have described.  There has never been a case of HIV transmitted in the way that you suggest.  There is no realistic reason for concern and no medical reason to test related to the event that you describe.

Please do not worry.  I hope my comment is helpful. EWH
