Cunnilingus on sex worker

Hello everyone and thanks for your help. And sorry for my bad English. The fact is 20 days ago I did Cunnilingus to a sex worker and I didn't know her status. I have been to the Centre hospital and call many numbers and they told me I didn't need pep and I got a very low risk but however risk will still and to be sure I had to do a job test after 40 day. I came back home and I saw many other countries and forum have different thoughts on oral sex expecially for Cunnilingus and I wanna understand why so much difference of thought? Have I got a risk for hiv? And for other illnesses?
Many thanks

Hello and thanks for your advices,
Today I went retire the HIV test that I did 25 days after the exposure and it was negative. There were 2 doctors and one told me joking that don't wanna see me no more cause for him I shouldn't do the test cause I had no risk, the other doctor said to me to be quite but for absolute quite to test me after 3 months. So do you think I can stay quite? Should I test again after 3 months? And instead for others illnesses what test I have to do? Many thanks

Stop testing and move on.  No one has been infected this way in the ~40 year history of HIV, and you won't be the first.  The CDC lists this as minimal risk, but it's really a theoretical risk.  You are more likely to be permanently disabled or killed by a vending machine than you are to contract HIV from oral sex.

Hey. Very similar situation here. I went today to clinic and recommended me to do gonorrea and chlamydia tests first (which I did) and 1 month after the activity the HIV test. I know the risk is minimun but is better to be on safe side and learn from mistakes. Why don't you do test and share how it goes. Even though cunilingus is the activity with less risk than the others I feel anxious.

Hi there... I've never read or come across where I've seen a person being infected by hiv in this forum or anuwhere else, given the obvious reason I've stated above. If your only "exposure" was going down on a woman, I believe you've got nothing to worry. Of course, the doctors don't deal in absolutes, as they believe there are no absolutes in medical science. We, on the other hand, unless there has been a case where your scenario is proven, we say that there is no risk. Please feel free to search throughout the forum. You'll see what I mean. Your really had no risk. You need to put his episode behind you and stop worrying about hiv.

Throat pain and infection can be due to so many reasons. In your case, I'm sure its not because of hiv.

Be well.
thank you very much for your answer i'll calm myself :) have a nice day and many thanks again

Cunnilingus doesn't carry any risk of hiv as it involves saliva and air. You had no risk and don't need to worry about hiv. Air and saliva deactivates the virus.

Be well.
