Will any hormone drug affect window period?

I have asthma and have occasionally been taking drug called 'Budesonide and Formoterol Fum arate Powder for Inhalation' and it is glucocorticoids. As I currently learned that glucocorticoids may delay HIV window period, I wander if inhaled glucocorticoids(small dose)can affect window period.

The clinic should know the answer.
Thx but I don't really trust doctors in my country.(눈_눈)  They got a wide range of answers. Someone said that 6weeks or even 4weeks test is conclusive, and no drug can affect window period, while someone said I should test 6months if I'm using drugs includes glucocorticoids.
Maybe someone who knows can answer your question but it could be too technical for this forum. Maybe you can call the clinic to find the manufacturer of your test and contact them?
The window for a duo test is normally 28 days. How many days ago was your episode?
It has been exactly 90 days since my episode. But as I learned that the odds of getting AIDS from vagina is pretty low, I'm not very anxious now, so I think I'll just wait for the longest window period. Do you know how long is the longest window period on record?
28 days is conclusive with a duo.  I would call the manufacturer now, because just waiting longer to test might not resolve any issue the med causes.
It's just a doctor said I should take 6 months test, and this doctor is pretty authoritative because he is also a professor of a famous university. So I'm a bit of confused about whether to take a 6 months test.

I had an unprotected sex with a prostitute 3 months ago and am going to take a final test but I'm not sure if it's conclusive in this case.

Our members have answered your question accurately and to the best of their ability.  You can choose to take their advice or follow the one doctor you've encountered who says to test at 6 months.  But this should answer your question fully and we are now closing this thread.

No, the medication you're on will not affect the window period of your HIV test. The only drugs that affect the window period are ones that alter your immune system and immune responses, thus, interfering with your body's ability to produce antibodies against HIV infection. Your drugs in no way interfere with body's ability to produce immune responses.

There are 4 situations where testing is recommended past 3 months and up until 6 months. They are as follows:

1) If someone is on antiviral treatment for Hepatitis C

2) If someone is being treated for cancer with chemotherapy or other immune modulating drugs

3) Someone who's taking PEP/PREP treatment for HIV

4) Someone has been diagnosed  with a  specific immunodeficiency disease.

Thx but it's just one doctor told me that glucocorticoids has a side effect which affects immune system and thus I should take 6months test, but other doctors presented the same view as you did. So I'm just confusing, I don't know who to believe.
