I used the word "IMPOSSIBLE" in my previous comment.
"is it possible that contaminated blood can pass through alcohol swab to puncture wound as swab was pressed on puncture area ... can I get hiv like this ?"
No, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get infected that way. I'm sorry, but no more answers from. There is no more I can say. You can either choose to accept that you are OK and safe or choose to live in stress and anxiety.
Please make the RIGHT choice. Take care.
I don't think blood is visible on alcohol swab as it absorbs it .. is it possible that contaminated blood can pass through alcohol swab to puncture wound as swab was pressed on puncture area ... can I get hiv like this ?
I have said all there is to say. I'm sorry, I can't help you anymore. Nobody can, EXCEPT YOU. It is now up to you to either make an active decision to accept REALITY or to ponder in an UNREAL realm of anxiety.
You had no risk. You decide if you want to be happy about something real or miserable about something that doesn't exist.
Hope you make the right decision. Take care.
OK, listen carefully please. Even if he had poured a bottle of HIV contaminated blood over your puncture wound, it still would not have been a risk. Only a deep gaping wound and a good amount of fresh VISIBLE blood would pose a risk. Furthermore, HIV is a fragile virus. It loses infectiousness outside the body. That is why it is IMPOSSIBLE for you to have contracted the virus.
Please accept the fact that you had no risk.
Now you have the same answer from 3 different people. We would tell you if you'd had a risk. Just as we tell the people who do.
Alcohol swab may be contaminated by table surface and pass hiv through my puncture point when he pressed it to stop bleeding ? Pls someone can give expert opinion on it
Pls tell me one more thing that he used that same alcohol swab which he used earlier to clean my skin before drawing blood.. and then he put the alcohol swab on table and reused to stop bleeding on needle puncture point ... is their risk of hiv ? As table surface may be contaminated .. pls tell me ..??
You need to relax and accept the information you have been given. You had no risk for HIV. You do not have HIV. It is NOT transferred that way. Either move on or seek counselling. Your anxiety needs to be addressed
Please some expert or dr HH can give opinion I'm in alot of distress ... and anxiety
Teak can you pls give your opinion .. how can I also get opinion from Dr HH .. pls help n guide me ?
How can u say that.. I mean if blood was on his hand or finger and he touched my puncture point with it as well as alcohol swab to stop bleeding ws being touched by same fingers supposed it had blood ... doesn't it pose risk ?
This isn't the doctors' forum, but as another member, I just want to say the following in confirmation of what malbat said.
1 & 2- There is no way he could have infected you even if his hand had HIV contaminated blood on it.
3- You rashes have nothing to do with HIV.
You had ZERO risk for HIV.
Can any doctor here answer my questions posted above ... I'm extremely disturbed.. will really appreciate a response from doctor or expert here
Lab guy never washed his hands and the same hands touched puncture wound while it was bleeding... does it pose any risk if his fingers were contaminated or had little blood on it which I could not see ??
Hi.. Nothing you say indicates a risk for HIV....
