will I know if my condom broke?

I went to a csw and had protected vaginal. After, I noticed blood on my pubic hair and she said that her period had started. I asked this question on the expert forum and Dr said there is no risk. Like everybody else I am getting paranoid and over analyzing, but I cant help it. Her is my question:

When I pulled out, she removed the condom and I didnt see if it might have broken. After I saw blood I was so terrified that I quickly washed. Now I am worried, what if the condom had broken? Will one know if that happened?

thanks to everybody on this forum.

a condom rupture is catastrophic...you would definitely know it had ruptured.

sounds like you are letting your anxiety get away with you.  PROTECTED SEX = NO RISK.

I remember a glimpse of the condom before she took it out and it sure didnt look like that :)  I was just worried if there could be a slight tear. Also, wanted to know if one would know by the feeling. My feeling didn't change.

thanks happydaze.

No problem.  Condoms are purposefully designed to be very obvious when they fail so that the user is aware of the event.  Picture your penis wearing something like a grass skirt made of latex.

Thank you very much. I was not questioning his advice. Just wanted to know what others experience were when a condom broke? I have never had one break on me.

But, you answered my concern. thanks again!

If the Doctor told you it was no risk, why are you questioning his advice?  You had protected intercourse and have no risk of acquiring HIV.  Condom failures are not subtle events.  When they break, it is very obvious.  You do not have an HIV risk.
