HIV risk after 12 yrs?

Hello, I am worried sick for the past 12 yrs about my hiv status...I have not had unprotected sex since I was 20 and am now 33. I have been in a relationship for over six years now with the same man, and am wanting to have a baby, however I am paralyzed with fear to get tested...I Always have safe sex, but am worried to stop using condoms as if anything were to happen I would never forgive myself.

I have been to see my doctor in January for pre-pregnancy blood tests, as I finally got up the nerve, hoping to be tested for everything and she only tested me for rubella.  Then I waited another 2 months to get in to see my regular doctor, and again asked about pre pregnancy blood tests...he asked me some general questions, and then said that the blood work for everything will be done After I get pregnant.??  He said not necessary to do them now because they will just have to be repeated.  Now I don't know what I should do...am I just overly anxious about this or should I go and get a specific test...also I am terrified...I am really terrified...I asked my doc if something was wrong if I would know by now..he said yes.  And "hopes that alleviates my anxiousness". I think he is a great doctor, but I am still nervous of this..what should I do.

I have felt great, other than some fatigue at night..I have had a super itchy rash on my sides.  But that is pretty much it.  I need some coping methods to get up the nerve to get the test...please I need some help.  I never have spoken of this fear to anyone, ever.  And I am scared and feeling like I cannot discuss this with family and friends...I am also scared to do the anonymous testing in case I bump into someone I know at the health centre...any support or info would be much appreciated

You would not have had HIV for 13 years and not known it by now.
