HIV fear

I did vaginal sex with a csw just 1 hour ago I used condom.. I checked condom after intercourse didn't see any break or leak.  But quality of condom was very poor it was provided by hotel staff. I'm extremely panic now I'm just 20 years old. I feel very guilty please help me. I heard some medicine can prevent HIV and if started before 72 hours. Is it real?

It doesn't matter who provided the condom. Condoms are made up of latex and latex is effective against HIV transmission.

Your condom didn't break and you have nothing to worry about. Quit searching up about HIV on the internet right away to mess things up in your mind. You didn't have a risk, don't need any test or PEP.

Thank you Mike.  I called some doctors and helpline numbers of HIV/aids they are giving mixed answers. CDC says condoms are not 100% safe to prevent HIV. I can't even imagine to get tested for HIV.  I have still 70 hours to start medicins PLS give honest reply.
Condoms are not 100% safe because it has that 2% chance of failure due to slippage or breakage when used incorrectly. However, in your case, it didn't fail.

There are a lot of organization and helpline agencies that will tell you whatever they want to, some are overtly conservative and reading a script out for you. Here at MedHelp, we provide practical information and all responses are honest at the first place.

I will reiterate, you didn't have a risk. As long as your condom didn't fail there is no need to test and no need for PEP.

One more piece of information, latex as a material has a bind that doesn't let HIV transmission happen. There is no good latex or bad latex. If you think logically, you will realize none of the condom brands leverage their marketing proposition on strength or effectiveness of their condom. It is always their scent, pleasure quotient etc.

PEP is a subject matter that needs to be discussed with your doctor and not on an online forum. From a risk assessment point of view, you didn't have a risk so you don't need a PEP. Now the choice is yours. Good luck.
Thank you very much for ur reply..  My institution is going to conduct medical exam this month last I'm very nervous.  I'm 100% sure that condom didn't fail.
Just now I checked an extra condom that given by the hotel staff.  I fill water inside  I saw a small hole and it's leaking.
If your condom was just taken out of the pack and you used it, there could have possibly been no holes or it would have ripped instantaneously, that breakage would have been completely evident with no room for guessing.

It is clearly seen that you are being paranoid here, you need to think logically instead of fretting over this situation. Your paranoia starts from the assumption of your sexual partner being HIV positive. I repeat, that is an assumption. CSWs are very particular about their own safety. Periodic testing and consistent usage of condom is integral part of their lifestyle.

I am going to tell you once again, if you used a condom and there was no breakage, you didn't need to test. This is an HIV prevention forum, you don't seem to have a concern. For your paranoia, please see a therapist.
So more than a pin size hole on the side of the condom can't transmit hiv
If you had a pin size hole in the condom you used, the condom would have not been intact for the entire session of intercourse, it would have certainly broken.

Please understand the molecular design of latex condoms, if there is a pin hole or tear, they will not stay in the binded form when expanded in it's elasticity, it will form a big tear.

It's time for you to rest your anxiety driven questions and start accepting that you didn't have a risk. At this point we have discussed in full that you have no risk whatsoever. This is the best this forum can offer you.

Please deal with your anxiety, if you unable to do it yourself reach out for help. We wish you good luck.
I filled more than 500ml water in condom and squeezed but condom dnt burst water was coming thru the small hole.
It is not possible. It doesn't work that way. I refuse to believe you. We are not going to do science experiments here.

You have been offered the information you were seeking. Please move on.
Please believe me I'm not lying.
You took an extra condom - a condom that you did NOT use for sex, and found a small hole in it.  So what?  If you put that condom on and used it for sex, it would have broken.  Thank goodness you used a condom that did NOT have a hole in it and was NOT broken, so you have no risk for HIV.
It is pure science. If your condom had a tear and you were squeezing it with water filled inside of it, it had to break. Or, you are just imagining there is a tear. There is no third option to this. Now you have to figure, what's your issue here.

Everything is pointing towards extreme anxiety. Please see a therapist for your issues. HIV is not the problem here.
Thank you Mike and curfew for replies..
Please believe I'm not lying or it was not imaginary.  Yes I'm little more anxious person.  Finally one doubt,,  if there were a same hole in condom I used for sex  am I in a risk?? Intercourse only last for 1 minute.. I didn't see any visible hole or breakage.. But condom was wet
You keep asking the same questions. Those questions were answered. Everything is pointing towards extreme anxiety. Please see a therapist for your issues. HIV is not the problem here.
Your questions have been fully answered, and asking the same question repeatedly will not result in different answers.  You have been advised that you had no risk for HIV, so there is nothing more for our members to say about this no-risk event.
