Leukopenia and HIV

my case, it start almost year&2month ago where I had unprotected sex with lady, several days later I started to feel bad and I have night sweating unusual, headache, other HIV(maybe) symptoms I had also kind of funges in my head that swallen my nick lymph node that happen within three months of that day. I had check for STD's all found to be (-) with 1problem lowWBC, the dr recommend PBSmear and found nothing to be worried about. I read that HIV test is only confirmed after 6mon I got worried. tested on 6mon compo test and was(-)for all STD's& low WBC2.5& min std is 4-10.Later same lymph node swallen again for 1wk then gone tested &found all std (-)with lowWBC. 1.2year later I had headache and same lymph got swallen went to a doctor to solve it he said swallen can be by many things said if still persist or bigger we need to take it off for analysis as could be cancer. Anyhow, as said I tested again after1.2 compo all were(-)and my lymph went normal in size but I can feel some pain in the same area like headache he said he did PBsem and the result is(-)but I have leukopenia, FYI, prior the test I took antiinflmation for the node I stopped 3days before the test, I also had high bilirubin1.4(0.1-1.2). To be sure tested in a diff lab same day result was same leukopenia and no animea with normocytic, normochromic RBC's,abnormal immature cells are not seen.I gogled what does leukopenia means and the first answer I found is this can be due to HIV, now I am confused&scared.please let me know what is your evaluation?can the leukopenia delay the HIV or can it related with the HIV window period?is the above tests conducted considered enough to roll out HIV, all tests eleisa or CIMA as I said It was done 3,6,7,8,10&14 twice? PBsmear done all the time as std in the early months no issue, but when I took the node inflammation medication dr said its leukopenia,is it related?do you think there is a chance that I am infected with HIV&still my body did not fight so no antibodies?

1.  NO
2.  the word leukopenia is just a different word.  I would not worry about this.  You should talk to your doctor about it.  However, be confident it is not HIV or any other STI.  EWH

Dear Dr Edward, thank you very much and sorry for thr messy question as we are limited with number of letters, if you allow me I have a follow up clarifications:
1- does the leukopenia impact the window period?
2- many time I do PB seamer as my WBC is below avg but all the time doctor write this statement decreased number of WBC with normal differential count. This is the only time they said it leukopenia, is it related to the medication I took ( antibiotic and antiinflmation ), in addition also I have high bilirubin in blood 1.4 ( 0.1-1.2).

Thank you very much doctor I felt comfortable after I read your statement as I visited my doctor yesterday and he insist to repeat hiv test again and I simply asked him tell when I should keep repeating its a year and two months now after that relation !! He did not have an answer

Welcome to our Forum.  Your post is  a little hard to follow.  I will try to help.  Your experience is a great example of why we urge our clients not to go to the internet to try to understand their risk for HIV.  The abnormalities seen in HIV are also seen in an enormous number of other problems and sometimes in persons who are normal.  That is the reason that the ONLY way that reliable knowledge about the presence of absence of HIV can be obtained by testing.  You have been tested repeatedly using a highly reliable test at times when the test results are conclusive and each time were found to be negative.  You do not have HIV.  Your leukopenia is due to something other than HIV.  Similarly, there are many reasons for swollen lymph nodes and HIV is just one, rather rare one.  In some people a low white blood cell count can be normal and not dangerous for them- you may be one of these people.  My advice is for you to continue to discuss this with your doctor.

I hope this assessment is helpful to you.  Your test results for HIV are completely reliable and prove that you did not get HIV from the encounter that you described.  EWH
