Possible STD/HIV transmission via cut on my scrotum???

I'm a male and had sexual activities with 7 women in the past month.

I am worried about possible STD and/or HIV transmission via a tiny cut on my chafed scrotum due to on-going eczema rash.

Sometimes I have no rash at all, but once in a while when the eczema is bad, I scratch the itch and the skin breaks, and I might've  had sexual activities while my scrotum had a cut (about an eighth to quarter of an inch and very tiny). It's small as a little paper cut.

4 of them were caucasian, 1 of them was a Latin descent, 1 of them was African American, and then 1 of them was an Asian. Maybe it does not matter what their races and background is, but all of them were total strangers.
I have met all of them on internet personal ads, except for the Asian female was at a massage parlor, and the Latin female, I met her on a street.

All sexual acts were vaginal intercourse with condoms fully protected, but depending on the women I encountered, I received both protected and unprotected oral sex performed on me.

My concern is this..... Since I have eczema on my scrotum with occasional tiny cut from the dryness of the skin,  I am so worried about the possible STD and HIV transmission via that region.

I am worried because during some of the unprotected oral sex, some of their saliva might have touched my scrotum (probably did because one of them spat on my penis).  Also, some of the female got on "top" of me to have vaginal intercourse, and their vaginal fluid could have touched my cut on my scrotum.  On top of that, IF some of them were mensturating, (which I doubt), some trace of blood in their vaginal fluid could touched my scrotum cut.

Do you think I should be worried that I got some STDs or HIV?
Do you think I should go get tested?
As I mentioned, all the activities were protected vaginal intercourse, plus some unprotected oral performed on me, and some with protection. I did not do any cunnilingus or any other activities.

Thank you!!!

Welcome to our Forum and congratulations on your commitment to safe sex.  As you might imagine, there are no studies which formally evaluate the potential for rashes such as your eczema or scratches as sites of entry for HIV or for other STIs however experience and observation tells us that surface contamination of the sort that you describe does not lead to HIV transmission.  There are no scientifically proven reported instances in which this sort of exposure has led to infection. When you combine this with the fact that despite the fact that you had sex with 7 different women recently, the fact is that it is unlikely that any of these women had HIV or any other STI for that matter.  The skin of the scrotum is not fine and as susceptible to infection has the skin on the head of the penis.  I would not be worried if I were you.

In answer to your specific questions:
Do you think I should be worried that I got some STDs or HIV?
No, I would not worry unless you develop obvious symptoms on an STI at a site of exposure and I doubt that there is any meaningful chance of that.

Do you think I should go get tested?
I see no medical need for testing.

Again, congratulations on your commitment to safe sex, it will keep you healthy.  I hope my comments are helpful, EWH

Thank you again for your help.
The tests which I took after 8th day of the last oral sex activity, came back all negative. The doctor thinks it could be urethritis and/or prostatitis. I am still taking Keflex, but planning to go see an urologist to see what exactly is going on. For now, I am going to stop worrying about this and move on.
Thank you again.

This will be my final answer.  Your exposure history is not high risk for HIV or for other STIs.   SInce my original reply, my answer has not changed.  If you are worried about the symptoms you describe and which seem to be evolving, I suggest you seek evaluation and testing.  I DO NOT recommend that you accept treatment without examination by someone who knows what they are looking at and testing.

If you seek testing, please let us know what the tests show.  I anticipate they will be negative.  EWH

Dr. Edward,

Now, my urethra (near the head of penis) always hurts when I pee. Could this be gonnoreah or Herpes, or any other STDs?

To recap the incidents in order...

~ Nov 27th, I received unprotected oral performed by a woman until completion.

~ Dec 4th, Urethra near the top of my penis started to feel itchy a little bit. Also noticed that the left side lymph nodes around the groin area seemed enlarged.

~ Dec 5th to today... It hurts to urinate all the time. Sometimes it doesn't hurt as much, but still uncomfortable. There has not been any discharge of any kind.

I appreciate your time.
Thank you.

Hello Dr. Edward, maybe my above question didn't get to you, but I'm wondering if you could tell me what you think of my last above question. I'm hoping what I have is just a urinary tract infection. Any thoughts? Thank you!!!

So sorry to keep dragging you with my questions.
I'm now terrified because in the past few days, part of my urethra was somewhat itchy (not today) with sensation of needing to pee often than usual. Today, the itch stopped but I just noticed there's a somewhat bumpy inguinal lymph nodes on the left side of my groin. It's little but sensitive when I massage it. Could this be sign of herpes??? Also I have had completely protected sex with a female two days ago. The sensation in the urethra could be from too much sexual activities lately with friction, but I have no idea why the lymph nodes feel slightly swollen. Could this be caused by wearing right jeans all the time??? I am so worried now. Please help. I want to believe it could be from stress and from not getting enough sleep lately. I have been also drinking more alcohol  lately too. I appreciate your kindness in helping!!!

If your partner had HIV (which is unlikely), your risk for becoming infected by performing oral sex on a woman is quite low- 1 infection in 10,000 sex acts with an infected partner, on average.  Just to out this is perspective, this would be like performing oral sex on an infected partner once a day for over 27 years.

Take care.  EWH

How about STI through unprotected female to make oral sex? Should I be concerned?
Thank you again for your response, and I promise this would be my last question in this post. Thank you!!!

There are no cases of HIV which have been shown to be acquired through receipt of oral sex.  EWH

Thank you for your answers. I feel lot better, but I'm still concerned because some of the oral sex were performed without condom until completion. I still don't have to worry? Thank you again. This will be my last comment. Happy Holidays.

I forgot to mention that I remember that one  of the women had touched her vagina and then touched her own nipples, which then I remember putting my mouth on them. Could that be a risky activity if she had STD/HIV and could it transmit via my mouth???

Thank you again!
