In both this question and the one you asked in October, you don't specifically say whether or not you have been tested for HIV. If you have been tested at least 6-8 weeks after your last possible exposure to the virus, and the result was negative, it proves you aren't infected -- regardless of what symptoms you have. Rather than speculating on your symptoms, the way to resolve your HIV concerns is to either be tested, if you have not; or if you have tested negative, to accept the results and continue wo work with your doctor(s) about the actual causes and best treatment of your symptoms.
1) Just like symptoms, the exposure history doesn't matter in judging whether or not you have HIV. They sound like safe exposures, but even if they had been extremely high risk, the test result is what matters -- not speculation.
2,3) Neuropathy alone does not suggest HIV. With rare exceptions, neuropathy only occurs in people with advanced HIV/AIDS, with multiple symptoms and complications in addition to neuropathy itself.
4) Aside from acute testicular pain and swelling, STDs do not cause testicular pain -- certainly cannot cause pain that would persist for more than a few weeks.
5) Neither STDs nor HIV cause dark urine. Talk with your doctor about other possibilities.
6) No other STD causes neuropathy.
7) I don't know what you mean by "mid stage HIV symptoms". Get tested. If negative, you will know for sure your symptoms cannot possibly be due to HIV.
I will be happy to comment further if and when you tell me your HIV test results. Until then, I will have no further replies or comments.

Doc, thanks for your quick reply. I have few questions in regards to your answers:
I have not yet tested as I was told by my doc during these symptoms of no need to.
1. Precum on the trannys condom could not have infected me via intercourse as it would have entered my rectum?
2. So neuropathy is rare as being the only hiv symptom and when it is it would be a late stage symptom, so would never be an onset of hiv?
3. How common is it to go 6 to 7 years with HIV and not even know it meaning no symptoms?
4. I've read about mid stage hiv symptoms which are not ARS but close to the time before developing aids is this true? How long does it take for this stage to appear?
If i was your patient from a medical perspective would you get me tested for HIV?
Report your HIV result. Until then I will not answer these questions and will have no other reply. I will delete any additional comments you make that do not include your HIV test results.
Dr. I just went over to the walk in clinic across my work and have had a blood test, they said i have to wait a week for results. Now you have me worried since you asked me to test and this week will be a living hell for me.
My only question to you and i hope you can give your honest opionion as i wait, whats the likely hood i got hiv in early 2002 and the only symtomps i've had is the neuropathy i mentioned.
Please answer i've paid money for your feedback, i promise this will be my last post except for my results.
"whats the likely hood i got hiv in early 2002 and the only symtomps i've had is the neuropathy i mentioned." Zero for practical purposes.
It is rather amazing to me that you have been worried about HIV as a possibility for at least 2 1/2 months (when you posted your first question on this forum) and probably for some years, but have not sought testing. Most likely all your anxieties about HIV, for a long time, were for naught. Your test result almost certainly will be negative and should put it all to rest.
Doc, i could not wait for a week for the results so i decided to go and get a rapid test done. Thank god, it turned out to be negative as you thought it would. Appreciate your feedback.
Now my only question is, could any other std have caused my neuropathy for the last 8 years? How about syphilis (i dont ever recall a syphilis sore on me)?
Glad to hear your HIV test was negative. You are the only person surprised by that result.
No other STD causes the symptoms you report or neuropathy. Forget sex, STDs, and HIV. They have absolutely nothing to do with your symptoms.
That ends this thread. Good luck.
