Need Your Answers

Hello, guys.

I once read that during vaginal sex activity, HIV can infect the male through the glans, the inner penis foreskin and the urethra. But, I also read that the infection is only possible to happen as long as the penis stays inside the vagina where the virus never leave the human body. (1) Can you verify that is true? So, if that is true, (2) may I conclude that HIV infection is ONLY possible to happen as long as the virus don't leave the human body?

I did mutual masturbation with a guy. When he ejaculated, his semen landed on my penis and touched my glans, inner foreskin and the external urethra on the tip of my penis. Assuming that he is HIV+ and not on treatment, (3) can HIV infect me that way?

We also did french kissing. My gum sometimes is bleeding after I brush my teeth. Slightly bleeding that I have to suck my gum in order to find blood in my saliva. (4) Did that manner pose any risk? (5) Can enzymes in saliva render HIV in blood to unable to infect?

I had fever one week after that event, the fever lasted for just one day (I took aspirin). Two weeks after that event, I noticed small red dots along my leg, they are not itchy or hurt at all and they disappeared next day (I did nothing to treat those red dots). Four weeks after that event, I had sore throat, it still exists until now (already three days). (6) Are all the symptoms I mention above HIV-related?

It has been a month and I am planning to do home test. (7) Can I trust iCare Home Rapid HIV Test Kit? Is that test kit really accurate?

I am waiting for your responses, guys. Thank you.

Regards,

Addam

Thank you, Shaun for replying.

So, today, 37 days after that event, I finally went for a test. The result came back, praise The Lord, negative. What bothering me now is the kind of test they did to me. They said that they use 3 anti-HIV methods. I never heard about it before. I know there are ELISA, Western Blot, COMBO or DUO. When I asked further, they answered me that that 3 methods test is WHO standard.

Below is my result :

IMUNODEFICIENCY PROFILE

Anti-HIV (Rapid I) : non-reactive. Note: ONCOPROBE
Anti-HIV (Rapid II) : non-reactive. Note: INTEC
Anti-HIV (Rapid III) : non-reactive. Note: VIKIA

Would you (or the others) give me some explanations regarding my test? Did you ever heard that 3 methods test? Thank you.

You cannot get HIV the way you described.

If you having these sever symptoms, it's probably best to see  a doctor.

And if you should choose to be tested for things, consider being tested for STDs and HIV at the same time.  Everyone, who is sexually active should be tested regularly.  And note, there are some STDs that can be transmitted even with the use of a condom.

The RAPID home tests are not as good as the ones they do at the doctors or even the ones they do at clinics that use blood.  Even in the US, the FDA approved oraquick is  92%, when done at home.

Just for your information: the ideal HIV test is the 4th gen (sometimes called duo or "ag-ab") test.  If you can get it, that's the one to go with.

Be well

Thank you, Vance for replying. So, for the peace of my mind, I absolutely had no risk even if both of us had slightly bleeding gum during kissing (as I recall I didn't taste blood, but I am not sure because I was not so aware that time) and even if his semen touched my genital?

Anyway, my sore throat has not gone away. There are some swollen red things on the back of my throat. I can feel the pain, but it is not much that I can still swallow. Do you think this sore throat HIV related?
