Hiv risk?

Hello community.  I am raddly, I help in the herpes community.  I just sort of freaked myself out and am looking for guidance.  Teak, I think you will probably be answering. : )  thanks mate.  I hope alls well with you.   Please help me out!

I was just at work a few hours ago and was smoking a cig.  A gay waiter that works with me asked if he could hit my cig, I said yeah.  After he hit it a few times he passed it to me and I immediately hit it after him.  After smoking he then was telling me how he hasn't been feeling good lately and how he has cuts on his fingers from his other job.   Since this hole std thing occurred to me a few months ago I immediately thought of blood being on the cig butt and then thought of hiv.

If there was blood on the cig butt and I immediately took a hit after he just hit it would this be an hiv risk?  He took a hit and pulled away giving it to me and I put it straight to my mouth.

Sorry if I seem anxiety driven teak, I am right now.  After this hole thing I told myself no more sex until she is the one.  And now this happened?  I just been uncomfortable with this hole sex thing after my last encounter.  Thanks for reading and helping buddy.  Much love to you teak.

Cool, Thanks Teak.  I did some searching and found other similar concerns on this website.  Thanks man!  Sending you a hug from Michigan.

Not a risk, even if the end of the cigarette was soaked in blood.

HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.

HIV is transmitted by;
Unprotected penetrative anal and/or vaginal sex
Sharing works with other IV drug users
Mother to child
