Night Sweats

As part of acute HIV infection, is it possible to have night sweats and no fever?   Or are they both present in the HIV infection process?

Well, it's logical that night sweats are generally due to a fever, but talking about symptoms won't get you anywhere regarding knowing what your HIV status is.  Symptoms of HIV are also associated with many common, minor illnesses.  Night sweats can also be associated with changes in metabolism and a number of other factors.
Since you didn't mention your risk, no one here can really help you.  What was your risk, and when? If you had a risk, testing at the appropriate time is the only way to know your status.

Generally acute hiv symptom is night sweats and my question was more if it is always accompanied by a fever or not necessarily.  Dr. Handsfield notes always a fever...but thought I would ask the forum.

One potential acute hiv symptom is very likely to be something else.
Generally 3 classic symptoms are more probable.
What was your risk and when?
