You should never have any further STD tests done on the basis of the exposure above -- only if you have new exposures that put you at risk.
Hi Doc,
Thank you so much. My test came back negative for HIV and Syphillis.
My doc has recommended to get a 6 month test.
Also I was wondering I am only waiting on my hepatitis results. IF they come back negative as well should I be worried about getting all the STD test done at 6 months and then at 2 years?
Thank you much. My last and final question you have been really helpful.
I have no comment on the possibility of B12 deficiency; you should discuss it with your doctor. This forum is strictly limited to HIV and, secondarily, other STDs.
Chlamydia and gonorrhea can enter the bloodstream, but rarely. The treatments you had are highly reliable and would have eliminated the infection anywhere in your body. The negative tests on urine or uethral swab are very reliable; whether or not either of these caused your epididymitis, it is no longer an issue for you.
Understood. Ill wait for my result. But just wondering how did he come up with the conclusion of me having B12 deficiency and gave me a shot and I am supposed to go for 3 more weeks and then once every month for four months.
One more question can chlamidya and gonorehea get into your bloodstream and then not be detectable in your urine.
I am actually back in canada now and getting my tests and doctor advice here.
Thank you very much you have been very helpful.
WBC counts naturally vary. Therefore, everybody's WBC result is always somewhat higher or somewhat lower on repeated testing. If the result is in the normal range, varying levels are meaningless. You're wasting your money on self-directed lab testing of any kind. Stop doing it.
Feel free to report your 3 month HIV test result. Other than that, no more comments are permitted on this thread.
Welcome back to the forum. However, you have had numerous discussions and replies to the same questions on this, the HIV community, and HIV international forums -- as well as the arthritis forum. The answers are all the same and so is mine.
Your test results show you did not catch HIV. Even though 3 month testing is often recommended, with the standard HIV tests in use everywhere (including India), a negative test at 8 weeks is virtually 100% reliable. You can therefore expect your 3 month HIV test to remain negative.
Your symptoms and all your other test results, including your normally fluctuating WBC count, are meaningless with respect to HIV and the results don't matter. HIV test results themselves overrule all other factors that might suggest an HIV infection. After you get your 3 month HIV test result (which will be negative for sure), you should stop having any more HIV tests. If your symptoms continue, find a doctor or clinic you trust then follow that professional advice to learn the cause and recommended treatment, if any. Finally, I suggest you stop searching the internet about this, and stop asking questions on MedHelp or any other online source. You're never going to get clear answers without in-person evaluation by a qualified health professional.
