Non-sexual Transmission

I had a small incidence - In an office toilet, I cleaned the toilet seat (which looked completely dry) with a lot of tissue roll, by wetting one part of it(I was holding the dry part). Although my fingers never actually touched the wet side, I picked my nose a minute later and the nose seemed to have some blood clot. Now I'm worried, if the wet part of the toilet roll could've touched my finger slightly, could it transmit through my nose (may've had some blood in the nose due to the clots I saw)..This really worries me..Can it transmit that way? There's hardly any chance that someone would masturbate in an office toilet (which is partly open), and I didn't see any wet semen on the toilet seat..but if there was some semen on the seat, could it transfer through the paper roll and my finger into the mucus membrane of the nose, or possibly my blood (as there was some fresh clot in it)?

it can't enter your bloodstream because  the virus would have  would be dead. It can't make copies if it is dead to begin with.

Hi there..thanks for your comments. So I know that this is a big hypothetical situation that I've created that someone was HIV + AND could've masturbated in the office toilet AND could've left semen on the toilet seat. Now I didn't see any fresh semen or anything else, and I'm also sure that my fingers never touched the dirty part of the toilet roll..but since I had some blood in my nose, my mind started in overdrive. If all this were true, would I still not be at risk? Can the virus, although I agree couldn't be living alive on the toilet seat, still stick to the toilet roll then my finger and then enter my bloodstream thru the nose? You can't imagine how upset and tensed I am thinking about all this.. I'll appreciate if you can provide some additional comments..

Virus needs a living host to survive. Bacteria can live in non living and living places. Virus , like HIV, can't survive long outside of of a living host.It can live in needles because blood is living.

Hi there Teak,

Thanks for replying..Sometimes you know that it doesn't work that way, but when fear and anxiety enters you, it sometimes gets difficult to get it out of your head just with logic...I really appreciate your comments..

Thanks!

HIV cannot be transmitted in that manner. No risk.
