Hello doctors! I'm a male who recently tested negative using the oraquick home test. It's been months since I gave oral sex but I have been given oral on multiple occasions. Most recently I got oral from two guys at once. Is there a risk if precum was in the mouth of one of them? They blew each other and then me. I just want to be safe. Is this any honest risk at all? Should I be tested? Is PNP necessary? Thank you for all of your help. I just want to subside any irrational fears before they start. God Bless You both.

Thank you! Yes I tested negative about 7 weeks after last giving oral. My only concern is this threesome. Is worrying about precum being in the mouth of the person giving oral irrational? Thank you so much for your response.

Welcome to our Forum.  If it has been months since you last gave anyone oral sex you should feel confident that you are OK. While there are a few cases in which persons appear to have gotten HIV from performing oral sex on an infected partner, there are no instances in which anyone has been proven to get HIV from being the recipient of oral sex from an infected partner. Of course this does not mean that at some time someone might get HIV from receipt of oral sex but clearly receiving oral sex is very, very low risk for HIV. There is no need to be tested related to your recent exposures.

Take care. EWH
