No, I dont live in London. I have heard that around half of HIV suffers in the UK live in london. But, I never went looking to receive PEP. I just explained the circumstances and the doctor felt it was best.
I'm unsure whether me taking PEP is a good thing or a bad thing. Sometimes I'm glad I took it but sometimes (when I feel like I do) I wish I hadn't. But, ive started it now, so il have to finish!
if your not from the london area its unlikely the girl even had hiv in the first place even if she did its not 100% that you would get it anyway, you seem to have a real fear of hiv reading your last posts. I had the same fear, i listened to these guys and moved on. I started to take the PEP too doctors over here give it out way to easy. It 100% make you feel like ****. THT helpline is a good helpine to speak to if you want to talk to someone in person.
Why does it need to be taken for 4-weeks? What are the statistcs on it being effective?
Yep, for the most part. What did you think, that you were taking something like an asprin or antibiotic? You turn orange see your doctor.
PEP makes you fell quite sick. Is this what I will feel like for the rest of the time I am on it?
You say it was free but your taxes paid for it.
I don't care if they made money off of me. I didn't pay for it. It's free on the NHS.
Better be safe than sorry....dont play with your life your your own best friend.
of course they did...they just made some money off of you ! ! ! ! !
I went to the hospital and they decided i needed PEP. So, I have started it
nPEP is used for those that had an exposure to a person KNOWN to be infected with HIV.
