PEP and split condom

On new years eve I had protected sex with someone who I found out in the morning was a ex-IV drug user. When I finished I discovered that the condom I was wearing had split and wasn't covering me at all. I have no idea when it split and how long I was unprotected for. I think it was for a considerable length of time.

I found out in the morning this girl used to be a IV drug user. So, now im thinking whether or not I need PEP. I live in the UK so not sure if it available out here. Do I need it?

No, I dont live in London. I have heard that around half of HIV suffers in the UK live in london. But, I never went looking to receive PEP. I just explained the circumstances and the doctor felt it was best.

I'm unsure whether me taking PEP is a good thing or a bad thing. Sometimes I'm glad I took it but sometimes (when I feel like I do) I wish I hadn't. But, ive started it now, so il have to finish!

if your not from the london area its unlikely the girl even had hiv in the first place even if she did its not 100% that you would get it anyway, you seem to have a real fear of hiv reading your last posts. I had the same fear, i listened to these guys and moved on. I started to take the PEP too doctors over here give it out way to easy. It 100% make you feel like ****. THT helpline is a good helpine to speak to if you want to talk to someone in person.

PEP makes you fell quite sick. Is this what I will feel like for the rest of the time I am on it?

I don't care if they made money off of me. I didn't pay for it. It's free on the NHS.
