Dear All,

I posted my question but am unable to find a reply to it. Kindly let me know the facts here..

My original post is mentioned below. Post 5 weeks of the incident I got a test done that was Non reactive result with index value of 0.12, post 8 weeks the test result shows Non reactive with index value of 0.19. I am unable to understand how the index value is increased and what does it mean.. I got the the tests done from the same lab.

please help me out... Thanks.

**************************************************************************************************************************************
I am 28 years old male, living in India. I had accidently (with some sharp object on a pillar) got a deep cut near the top of my thumb. I am saying deep because the bleeding was Off and On for more than 1 hour. I had applied bandaid at night and removed it in the morning however it still had the wound there that was healing. For 2-3 days it was paining and then the pain stopped however I could see the small cut that was there on the wound.

6 days post this incident, I picked up a roadside prostitute in my car. I was a little drunk but still in my senses (God's Grace) so did not do any kind of sex. What I did was that I touched (softly rubbed, carrasing) her upper body and legs with my hand for some time.

Here are my worries. I would request you to please help me out since I am married and one ,am feeling extremely guilty about what I did and am not getting the courage to speak to my wife, moreover I want to ensure that she does not suffer because of my foolishnessness. My questions:-

1. How long would such a wound take to cure? As written earlier, it was 6 days post this wound that I carrassed the girl.
2. Although, I do not recall seeing any blood on the wounded thumb, is it possible that a small blood drop from her leg might have got on my thumb.Could it go into the wound that was healing.
3. Do I need to go for a test due to this episode to ensure safety of my partner.

I have been going through the questions in this forum for quite some time and some members like Teak, Lucie, Nurce, Alien etc are doing a great job in educating and counselling people. Hats off to you guys!

Would appreciate clear answers to the above questions

You were never at risk and you don't need testing. PERIOD. End of Story.

hello there, i dont think you should stress, i dont believe she had any fresh bleeding wounds on here body, you would have noticed it since you were not that drunk and if she even had some not so fresh wounds, i dont think your rubbing could open close wounds and let them bleed. as for your wound i suggest you go to the hospital and get treatement and especially an injection for tetanous. and for your own peace of mind, you can do an HIV test and please be careful next time.

non-reactive means negative so nothing to worry about... My opinions to rest of your concerns:

1) depends from person to person and also depends on condition & severity of cut... but the healing time starts as soon the blood stops and cut starts getting dried
2) i don't think so, no worries and if it was there, the virus can not survive in the air and dies quickly and as soon its exposed to air...
3) again, i don't think so, stop worrying
