Hello,
As I have been reading quite a lot on HIV transmission risks, I know that the only way to know whether you are HIV positive or not is testing. Because of this, I will have a test 12 weeks after my exposure (this is going to be next Thursday). However, as I am quite nervous about the whole thing, I feel I need to tell you my worries.
I had a vaginal receptive intercourse with a man from Gambia of unknown HIV status (who has been living in Europe for 3 years). He used a latex condom from the beginning till the end. It was not my first sexual experience. However, in the previous ones (not many, as you may suspect) my hymen did not break. This time it happened and I started bleeding. We realised when we finished. I did not see the condom when he came out, but I did not notice any breakage. Moreover, I did not felt or see any semen in my vagina. Nevertheless, as my experience is not so "rich" I start wondering and imagining all kind of infection possibilities... The next morning we kind of masturbated mutually. He did not ejaculate but had pre-***, which was in contact with my belly (with one old small wound in it).
24 hours after this experience I had fever (38ºC) during one night, which dissappear the next morning. Now, (11 weeks after the exposure) I have a flu (tonsilitis, swollen lymph nodes in my neck, headache, fever and nasal congestion). Syntoms have last 3 days and are disappearing gradually. In addition, 2 weeks after the exposure I notice a white, hard bulk (approx 0,5 cm) in my vulva. I visited an STD specialist and he told it was a fat bulk. It disappeared after two weeks. I came back to the STD centre and another doctor examined it and said it had probably been a fat pimplea and that I have nothing to worry about.
Sorry for my English. It is not my mother tongue. However, I hope it is enough to make me understand.
Could you please tell which are my risks of getting HIV or another STD, please?
Greetings,
