Preemptive Action :)

Hi!
I'm studying abroad in Spain right now. I believe I contracted HIV. I have all the ARS symptoms other than the fever, but I am not positive if I have it or not. I am currently trying to find out how to get a HIV test, but that is a work in progress (for the past month). I was wondering until then what is a natural way to keep my cd4 count up? Or what should a first year HIV + do?
I have changed basic habits such as getting the recommended 8 hours of sleep and began a daily multi vit, I am not stressed because I figure what happens is what happens. But I would rather be informed and ready just in case :). Thanks for your time!

Obviously I need to get tested to get real treatment. But I figured I could change a few things that would strengthen my body or my immune system in general. The risk was when I was drunk and had unprotected sex. He was from Morocco, which has a higher rate of HIV. Also I'm living in a tourist zone which makes the STD rate here higher. Also I am HPV positivie, so that makes it easier for me to contract HIV.  An the reason it's taking so long, is because I have to find a place that won't charge me 300 euro practically. When I don't even have 100 euro to spare. Either way I'm trying to find a way to get tested for every std for a cheaper amount. Also, I honestly don't know if I had a fever or not. I don't use medicine nor check my temp. I just pump myself with vit c, sleep and drink a crap ton of water. My immune system is pretty beastly after working at a daycare for over 7 years.

I want to add that it would be EXTREMELY unlikely for a person to have ARS without the fever.  That's one of the symptoms that's consistent with ARS.  I've never heard of anyone who was diagnosed with HIV, who experienced ARS without a significantly high fever (over 101).  So, that info alone is reassuring for you.  That and the fact that you can never gauge HIV status by symptoms.

You need to get tested and find out for sure before you start treating yourself as being +.  If you were diagnosed, you would need to input and guidance of an ID doc anyway.

What was your risk?  Why is it taking you so long to be tested?  I've not heard that tests are hard to come by in Spain?
