My daughter 6 years old got pricked by used lancet at Park and got 4 drops of blood, I took yo doctor he has given hep b vaccine and suggested test at 6 and 12 weeks, 6 weeks antibody lab test came back negative, is the result conclusive. It is working me waiting for 12 weeks test, unable to concentrate on my job and having sleepless nights

hiv is a fragile virus and is dead in air, so a lancet  can't transmit hiv. Only non-sex risk for hiv is when drug users quickly share hollow needles that have some blood in them. Testing for no virus was a waste of time and will continue to be a waste so you should stop worrying about an impossible dead virus transmission scenario. If it was as infectious as you fear, then everyone would have it by now because everyone gets cut lots of times per year and touches someone else's blood or bleeding cut by accident.

Thank you for the quick reply and I got relief now. So the test results are conclusive right?
Any test your daughter took at ANY time is conclusive, and would obviously be negative, since she never had a risk for HIV.
Thank you. This site is useful and your service is really helping people like me(worrying about something non existent). Keep doing the good work.
