Protected anal sex risks

Hi, I am male (gay) 28 years old. I have had a couple of protected anal sex with some guys I met online without knowing their status. We used condoms every time we had sex. I am a recipient (bottom). After sex, I started to get worry about the risk of getting HIV through anal sex. Therefore, I checked the used condoms by filling them up with water to check if the condoms broke. Glad to know that they were intact with no holes.
My question is how possible for me to get infected with HIV and is there any need for me to go for a test? I am really worried. Please help.

Theres no reason to be worried. You used a condom and you have made sure that they werent broken

The only way hiv can spread is through

1) UNPROTECTED vaginal or anal sex
2) sharing syringes.

As you were protected , you werent at risk

This test not only assures that condom was intact but also implies that you have issues with anxiety, it's is seen historically that people who do this after intercourse have paranoia with STIs and sometimes they test for no good reason. An appointment with a therapist should be the right way to go forward, this can help eliminating such irrational fears.

I am here to seek advice not here to be called a person with mental issues. Mind your language and be kind to one another. You are very rude!
Many people have anxiety, and to suggest that a person might benefit from talking to a doctor about excessive fears is neither rude, nor outside the bounds of this forum.
I am sorry that you felt I was trying to be rude to you. I am here only to help,  I really felt you should see a therapist and I said that out of compassion.

I have been trying to help people living with HIV for quite sometime now, I also often come across people who just have HIV anxiety, from that experience, each person that relies on messy water test after having an intercourse usually suffer from anxiety because to find out if the condom failed, one can easily assess that with their own eyes without the need of the above stated test.

I have always believed no one deserves living with fear and anxiety, because help is always available, sometime we have to reach out for it to fix issues that are underlying inorder to lead a good life.

Hope you take this in the right spirit. I wish you good luck.

You're very smart to use condoms every time you have one of these encounters. As long as you keep using condoms every time, you have no reason to fear HIV. Although HIV specialists do suggest that any sexually active adults get tested for HIV at least once a year just as a general rule for maintenance of health. But it's not a requirement, just a suggestion.
