Also adding to the false positive result, I know a person Who had false posiive result from HIV test and that caused lots of problem in his family. Later on after repeat testing demonstrated he was HIV free and filed a case against the doctor and lab conducted the test.
In both of the body cases you refer the PCR test was positive - one was clearly a false postitive with a VL of 20,000
suggest you get a PCR - there is simply no way you can have a PCR and an antibody test that is negative and still have the virus
good luck
Also iamnotalegendatall, looks like all your anxiety causing all these problems. Just get out of these things and think positively.
Thats what exactly I mentioned in my first reply, As the PCR test the chance for false positive is more as bob said in the reply.
iamnotalegendatall, Why are you keep looking such odd questions and replying to this thread. My initial intension is just to know what are the possible cause for not producing antibodies and not proving any thing. I havnt seen a signle report showing a conformed case of AIDS without HIV antibodies. As Teak said , it could impact becouase of HAART or Latest stage of AIDS in which an immune system is collapsed and unable to produce certain antibodies.
,
Or even a post from today:

HAART does not stop antibody production. HAART helps slow down virus replication which slows the antibody production due to the lack of virus replication.
HAART can delay and stunt antibody production. This is because the meds knock the virus down to undetectable levels. Since the virus then exists at low levels, the body may not need to make antibodies, and they would not be picked up on the test. It is also the reason why PEP can delay a test becoming positive. This is a very unique situation, and I hope the person is getting good care to have it sorted out.
I have read the body thread. Looks like the first one was false positive result(PCR result can cause false positive result because of various reason). Because of that, It is not used for HIV diagnosis I guess.
since the ELISA and WB tests are used to diagnosis for HIV, If a person never has HIV antibody that does mean the person is not goin to be diagnosed for AIDS and HIV(Since both look for antibodies). Can anybody expertise these subject clarify all these pls?
This has long worried me, and is no doubt the source of much anxiety for a lot of posters. Some people worry about the window period, others, like myself, worry about more unlikely situations such as this. I can't offer any advice, but it is concerning for some of us.
