Accepted, no hard feelings, we all get a little hot under the collar sometimes behind our laptops, lol, lol...
I apologize for being rude to you. I wont do it again.
Okay, i get it, you one of those folks that won't own up. I've said i have no problem with you, i've also said that when posting information in a thread everyone knows it must be for the most part related to the subject contained in that thread or add information which is inciteful to the thread. Again if you do not have concerns which are related subject then you were unintentionally or intentionally practicing bad forum manners, key word here is manners my friend. HIV would be the easiest thing in the world to catch if someone wanted to Bournemistake, so let's c'mon..
It seems like your upset that U don't have HIV. Your question was for Reg. Joe and it was answered, so instead of making another thread I asked him a question. He answered it, so enjoy your thread.
your concern is not related to the thread right?
hcv / co-infection/delayed seroconversion / needle stick exposure?
Okay, well then...
You already asked your question as well so let's not get into bickering about it, when someone say no offense do you understand what that means? When you do this it's called hijacking a thread and considered bad forum manners is all. I have no problem with you and was not rude to point this out.
you tested neg @ 12wks, get over it. There is nothing wrong with you, as far as HIV is concerned.
If you have chronic cough - definitely see a doctor. Don't play games with your health and your life.
No offense Bournemistake but you really should have made a thread for this post.
I also was in a very bad car wreck and noticed my cough came after that. So its either the accident or HIV. I've been scared to go to the dr. since september when the cough started. It isn't a bad cough. I will go throughout the day an nothing, then when night comes I start to cough.
Okay man. So there is no evidence either way, for -or- against that suggest these thing interfere -or- cause seroconversio delays, got it. The last line was confusing -in the absence of hep-c - gave me the impresion that you meant otherwise.
HIV can cause just about anything, but fingering does not lead to HIV. If you are "convinced" you have HIV, maybe some professional counseling could help you.
Would HIV cause coughing??? I fingered a girl and then developed a cough less than 2wks later. But when I go back further I had protected sex with a girl and I noticed the cough came on a lil over 4months after that encounter. I'm convinced somehow its HIV. Teak and others say no, but what do U think?

No, they are not valid. Like I said, there is no evidence that other coinfections delay seroconversion to HIV. Not HepC, not syphilis, not herpes, nothing.
So i guess my worries may be valid after all....man.
OK, I will elaborate: there simply isn't any reliable data on seroconversion time for people coinfected with HIV and Hep C. Common sense says that there is no reason for it to be any different than in the absence of Hep C.
I'm testing for everything again in Feb.
go get tested for hep again if youre so concerned.
I don't know what hematoma is but i'll google it up man. I'm gonna take yours, Liz's, Pecha and Chris's advive because now i'm all worked up about this again. 85 days is better than a good indicator i guess, so until Feb i'll try to make due with my fears. I just wanted RegularJoey's take my status scince he works with hiv. I thoiught he could have elaborated a little better regarding co's/ delayed seroconversions his exeriences with them, but i guess not. That was my only purpose for the posting for the record.
You weren't given PEP because you didn't meet the criteria for PEP. Had there a full syringe full of blood you would have had a big hematoma which you didn't.
I read that, plus she was very thin, the woman looked like death warmed over, grey skin with more wrinkles than a raisin man, i'm screwed. Just remember that what i said-most people who test outside the guidlines were needle sticks, pep or know pep. I may be loosing it Chris but that does not mean that hiv may not be in my future, plus that's also a symptom-mental illness.
What if the syringe was full of her blood man? Plus the blood on the outside of the needle from shooting up all day? 0.03%!? There was a decernable marker, the doctor at the emergency ward was also said the same thing, she should have given me pep.
She a homeless and uses iv drug man, she got an 80% chance or better of being hiv +, probably more like a 95% chance if you through in that she's been arrested for prostitution.
