THAILAND EXPOSURE

HI DOCTOR,
I had this exposure with csw in thailand on 13/04/2012 .i took the csw from street to my hotel.i did not mind that.now as we got in the room she went on to take a shower.she was clean down there no cut or any other sign of blood or anything.after we started kissing each other she put a condom on and start sucking my dick for a while and then i went down on her and that was unprotected.and we then we got down and start *******.while we were doing she told me condom break  and it looked it broke from the top side .i took it out.she put the condom in bin and i she put another one on.as i was not hard on that time and i asked her to suck my dick.as start sucking down then i got hard again. i was bit intoxicated at that time and i do not drink normally but was pissed off as i had break up with my gf after 5 years.this was my only encounter with csw.come back to the point as we were doing again and this time i had bit vigorous  sex.then when i was done i took it out and i can see the semen was there in the condom.so she went to the washroom and brought some tissue she took of the condom and wiped it off.then suddenly i realized i did wrong on sucking her vagina.as soon as she come back from washroom.i asked her if she had done her tests..she told me she done 5 months back.to this i ask her if she to leave she took a shower and left.then i really got scared that i did the wrong thing.then i took the condom that she told me that was broken from the bin and put water on it and there was not any leakage on that.so i was bit relaxed.and she was using lot of water as a lube as she did not have any lube i guess.so she applied lot of water each time.
now i have few questions  for you.
Symptoms.
i did not have any diarrhea,fever etc
but after after three weeks i had pain in my left testicle. which stayed for few days and gone.
i had pimple on top end of my dick which broke and puss came out of it.
now sometime have some itchiness in my groin area.

Last answer.  when condoms break, infections can occur.  If the condom remains intect and is used properly, I have not seen patients get STDs.

have u known any one that got infected from condom breakage or from one unprotected episode. even though when she left i checked filled with water and there was no water drops coming out of it .from your forum or personal examination in the clinic. i am bit scared to go for test jus need bit of motivation.thanks for all the help you have provided to me and millions of people.god bless you.

Condoms break about 1% of the time they are used.

Water and water based lubricants are preferred for condom use.  Petroleum-based products like vaseline weaken condoms and increase breakage rates.   EWH

can condom break easily if u have sex vigorously?
and is water a good lube to put on condom or not?.

Again, given the history, while the risk is low - particularly if the condom was intact, it would be in your best interest to test.   EWH

Sorry, I cannot tell you why your partner told you what she said.  The fact that the condom did not appear to break wide open is good news but does not change what she said, thus it also does not change my recommendation.  EWH

hi doctor
as i mentioned over there she told me that condom broke and that to was the upper part.i did not notice so she took of by herself, and put another one as i was not hard enough and ask her to suck it.so she put it another one and we finished that around 15 minute.so i come back to question is that i checked the condom after she left and put the water on it and it was intact as the was not leakage of water.so why did she felt that it broke? or she did not want to suck me with the old one? and why she put lot of water instead of any lube ?

You had an exposure to a Thai commercial sex worker and during the exposure the condom broke.  You also had unprotected oral sex (cunnilingus) on her.  What is your risk.

In answer, condom use among CSWs in Thailand has been quite successful in reducing the HIV rate and most CSWs in Thailand do not have HIV. Even if your partner did, the risk of getting HIV from a broken condom is low, less than 1 infection per 1000 sex acts.  There is virtually no risk of you getting HIV from performing oral sex on her, even if she had HIV.  So, what should you do- get tested.  It is now nearly 8 weeks since your exposure. At this time a standard test for HIV antibodies will give completely reliable results and, I presume, will provide negative results, eliminating the risk for HIV.

question i did not able to mention as it exceeded 2000 character limit.
here im putting down here

Q1.how safe is cunnilingus on women.is there any reported cases of this u had heard.or is there any evidence that it can lead to hiv?
Q2.if the condom she told me it broke and i did not know about that and looked like it was broken from the top end and while i poured the water it did not have any leakage?so women do not know when the condom normally broke or they do? as i was getting not hard i told to suck it and to that she might have thought to put on another condom and suck ....so might did not wanted to suck that with the old condom on. can that be the case?
Q3.as we finished and i can see my semen in the condom and i did not touched the condom she brought the tissues and wiped and took of the condom....i did not see any leakage or anything on that ....so i  was thinking if u do sex vigorously there might be the case condom have broken? can they broke with that or not?
Q4.why she was using lot of water as a lube? is it common ?
Q5.how safe is csw in thailand.as i took her from the street?
Q6 what are my chances of contracting hiv of this exposure?
Q7.should i be concerned about the itchiness i have or any of the symptoms i had mentioned?
Q8.should i go for a regular std`s testing or not?
Q9.how u do overall see my situation?
