Thank you and sorry to bother you. But just for my knowledge would you say that HIV is not infectious after one minute of air exposure for sure?
hiv is not transmitted through environmental surfaces or inanimate objects.
worrying about that "split second" is useless...the fact remains that you were not at risk for contracting hiv.
Thank you dear for your feedback and re assurance . I can relax now although I have a question when you say it is unable to inect upon exposure to air do you mean(as soon as ) (or soon after) it's exposed to air . Meaning does it loose it's infecting capabilities as soon as it's exposed to air regardless of weather or not it's active?
a sewing needle is not an open bore needle...meaning that blood does not go INSIDE the needle. if there was blood on it from him...it would not be infectious due to the fact that hiv becomes inactive and unable to infect, once exposed to air.
you had NO risk and do NOT need testing.
Sorry but at my place they say it is a low risk and needs to get tested. You could do a dou test at 4 weeks and follow up with antibody test at 3 months.
