Should i get tested?

Dear Dr.

Few months back i met this girl at the bar and we deep kissed a lot. We had lot of alchol and even exchanged alchol mouth to mouth kissing. Deep kissing even involved tounge. I have never had sex and now i am worried if i could have contracted HIV virus through this activity. As far as my oral hygiene goes i sometimes bleed while brushing. Do not recall if i had canker sores or cuts in my lips at that time. Do you think i should go and get a HIV test done? Although i didn't see or tasted any blood from her mouth but i was very drunk to possibly notice anything like that if it was in minute quanitity. What are the possiblities i could have contracted HIV. I haven;t had any ARS symptoms as such. Regular fever which went away in a day which could have been because of weather change. I have one painless skin bump on my palm and one on left leg near the knee. Please advice as this situation is driving me crazy and i am not strong enough to face a HIV test. Thank You!!!

You are not at risk and do not need to be tested.  Kissing, even deep, tongue to tongue kissing are NO RISK exposures.  The data which support this are derrived from very large numbers of persons some of whom have gum disease, dental problems or other means by which blood and saliva can be exchanged in the process of kissing.  No one has ever gotten HIV this way.  You have nothing to worry about.

No ways i am trying to challenge a doctors brain. Just trying to clarify the doubts through the things i read over the internet. Never heard about mouth killing the virus before it gets in the stomach. Do you have any article i can read on this?

You were not rude my friend. You have your own point of views in this matter and i appreciate your concern.

Sorry my advice would be not to challenge these doctors, they are human beings not robots that have advice on every single exposure of hiv.

I believe it has been said before, that the mouth kills the hiv before it gets to the stomach etc etc

And as for whats been recorded how do we know that is the case? I am sure people can lie re thir exposure

Im not trying to be rude thats just my 2c worth

Why do you say no one has ever got HIV this way when CDC has confirmed one case receiving HIV in the same manner? Also how about blood entering thorugh you mucous membrane in your mouth?

oh boy, i am quite delighted that they didn't actually think it was me posting with a different nick, i asked exactly the same question I guess 2 days ago (titled as dr HHH please answer). The only difference was I spit most of the alcohol while you swallowed. Just imagine what that girl must have felt, I spit the drink on her neck itself. :D
It is nice to see that there are more people with very very similar incidents ;) and the judgement is consistent - NO RISK. :)
If you're able to get over this incident please tell me how did you manage that. :)
Please don't tell me to test though because I will probably die of heart attack before I get the test results! :(
