Results

I just got my results for 9.5 weeks, and they came back negative.  So that was a 5.5 week negative, and a 9.5 week negative.  I'm actually ready to take that to the bank considering everyone is telling me that my one time encounter was low risk.  I still will do a 12 week conclusive, but I think I am finally realizing that me being so sick still is probably not from HIV.  I know I was a nervous wreck on these forums, but I want to tell everyone that I really appreciate it all of the re-assurance.  (Even if it was multiple times!)  Just being able to share this learning experience, has been more help than you can possibly imagine.  Thanks again!

I had a one time encounter vaginal encounter with an old friend from high school.  I let drinking unfortunately impair my judgement, and I knew he got into some trouble in the last few years.  I started to not feel well immediately after this incident, and totally convinced myself that I contracted a serious disease from him.  Luckily..so far so good.  Between the two tests up tp 9.5 weeks, the doctor told me there is no need to test further.  Since it is not considered conclusive, I will probably still do it again at 13 weeks.  I have not been more relieved, and can finally start moving on.  I let this last 2.5 months completly consume me.

No problem! But could you remind all of us here about what exactly you were worried about? Did you had unprotected vaginal sex? This would be a very good reference for other paranoids like myself.
