Risk?

I was at a basketball court playing basketball. 2 of the guys are needle drug users. They both had cuts. Scrapes. Etc. on body. We played physically bumping bodies. Touching. I myself and my brother also have cuts. 1 open one I got during the game. Can this be a risk of transmission??

False negative are caused by taking an HIV test to early. If you tested 3 months post exposure then you are conclusive negative.

I know I have had risks before though... All tests negative....

I guess I am just wondering is there anything that can cause a false negative 3 or 4 times?

No. Herpies will not influence an HIV test resu lt. You didn't have a risk of contracting HIV so you do not have to worry about testing.

Thanks teak! Random question for you.. Can having herpes interfere with an HIV test? I have tested negative twice. Didn't know if herpes could make a blood test come out negative though?
Does this make sense?

No you were not at risk. HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.
