Super worried about maybe catching HIV...some reassurance ?

Hey,
A little over a month ago I had sex with my ex gf twice; the first time being protected and the second time being unprotected for only about I'd say 10-15 seconds, after that I came to my wits I put a condom on. She also said she was on the tail end of her period at the time, but there was no blood present at all that I could see.

I did end up catching chlamydia from her, she stated she had no clue and had picked it up from some guy she had hooked up with in the past; she also said she got tested for everything else incl. HIV and it all came back negative, her friend also backed up this claim.
I made a visit to the hospital to get the chlamydia taken care of, they never tested me for anything else though....so I'm just waiting on lab paper work right now from my doctor in order to be tested for everything else.

From reading through the forums a bit it seems to me what occurred was fairly low risk, but I also know other STD's aid in the transmission of HIV.
What gets me worried is that I've been really tired and just feel "run-down" the past couple of days, so I don't know if this is a symptom of ARS, or just a reaction to being so stressed out. I've been pretty stressed out lately about some other avenues of my life, so it could just be stress.

Do I have anything to really worry about here?? It's been driving me nuts lately.
Sorry for writing such a book.
Thanks much!

Short answer is that you have little to worry about.  That your ex got chlamydia does not mean that she got HIV since her partner probably did not have HIV and even if she did, the odds of her getting it from him are low. Then, as we get further down the "what if trail" the odds are also very unlikely that she would give it to you following a single, very brief exposure.  Getting tested for other STDs and, at the same time, HIV is always a good idea but you really do not need to worry about HIV.

Take care.  EWH

Hey,
Just an update:
Still haven't been able to get testing done due to work and other obligations.
But, I did end up developing a bit of a slight cough; though I pretty sure it's due to seasonal allergies and I also got what looked to be a rash around my mouth and where I shave for a day or so. I think the irritation very well was just really bad razor burn, seeing as I had the bright idea of trying to shave by flashlight because my power had been knocked out in a storm; and I had really bad razor burn on my neck which almost looked like a rash.
Is this anything to worry about, not symptoms of ARS?
Thanks Doc!

Alrighty, thanks for the reassurance. I should be getting the lab-work done hopefully this week.
Good to have some piece of mind that I'll be OK :)
