Freaking Out

Good Morning,

Over the last couple weeks I've had a few encounters with guys who claim they are HIV Negative. I was both the insertive and receptive partner of anal sex, always with a condom. We also exchanged oral sexy, and with one partner I could taste pre cum. Today I have very watery diarrhea and am very scared this is a sign of pre-HIV. What are my risks based on the above? I never take semen in my mouth either.

Thanks!

Having faucet like diarrhea for over a week with no fever and foul smelling flatulence isn't a sign of acute HIV?

Your symptoms aren't typical for a new HIV infection, and as RubyWitch said, you are at no significant risk of HIV from these events. However, gay sex is often associated with various gastrointestinal infection. If your diarrhea continues more than a couple of days, see a doctor or clinic about it. But don't worry about HIV. (Of course all men who have sex with other men should be tested from time to time for HIV and other common STDs, like once a year -- even if there have been no apparent lapses in safe sex.)

All,

I continue to feel bloated, have lower adominal cramps and intermittent diarrhea. I have no fever. Is this acute HIV? I took an oraquick test on Friday which came back negative.

If you ALWAYS used a condom and it did not break, you had no risk.
NEVER trust a person telling you they are HIV- ALWAYS USE A CONDOM!!!!!!!

HIV is NOT transmitted through oral sex, even if you tasted pre cum or they ejaculated in your mouth.
