Somewhat worried

A few weeks ago i was at a massage parlor.   While we did have protected sex, i did go down on her for a few minutes.  Fast forward about a week or two.   I was in vegas last weekend and was feeling fine.  I get home after 4 days, got in bed, and started freezing.  I woke up the next morning with a fever and what appeared to be strep throat.   1.5 days go by and i go to urgent care. They do a rapid strep test and it comes back negative.   Doctor says it could be tonsillitis.  The night before i saw him i was running a 104 in the middle of the night.   Took Advil and it went down.  When i was at the doctor it was 99.   Now today (saw the doctor yesterday) I’m feeling a little bit better, but my throat still shows signs of tonsillitis and really hurts.  I think i finally broke my fever last night because i woke up at 3am somewhat drenched.

Anyhow, just wanted everyone’s thoughts on this.   I’ve read on here that i zero chance of aquiring hiv by going down on the girl.  However, all of these symptoms are driving me nuts and worrying the crap out of me.  My throat won’t get better.  Started amoxicillin yesterday.

Even though i still have tonsillitis.  Again, he didn’t even seem sure about that, just that it came back negative for strep.  Prescribed me amoxicillin.  Not even sure it’s working.  My fever is now at 99-100 and it’s been since he middle of the night on Wednesday.  No rashes or anything.  The main things have been high fever/chills and the back of my throat looks horrible with all the white and hurts a lot.

It's irrelevant. Your illness has nothing to do with HIV. I used to go to Vegas with my friends every year on vacation, sometimes twice a year. Almost every time I'd come home sick with something like bronchitis or a cold or an ear infection. Because it's a germ factory!! Which, again, has nothing at all to do with hiv.

You had no risk for HIV from what you described. Vegas is a germ infested petri dish so, no wonder you got sick after being there. It has nothing to do with HIV. It has to do with being in close proximity with many other people and touching surfaces that were previously touched by germy people carrying colds, the flu, strep, norovirus, and any numbers of other easily spread bacteria.
