Special for Dr H. H. H. (2)

Dr Handsfield , in my recent post, I lost time debating stay with you instead of worrying about my case:
http://www.medhelp.org/posts/HIV---Prevention/Special-for-Dr-H-H-H/show/1946674
Let's get to it: An accident at medium risk ,with a person highly suggestive of being infected.
I'd rather not discuss risks, and worry about the symptoms and tests.
5 days after I started with a morning nausea for +- 38 days
5 days after developing dizziness and drowsiness for +- 25 days
6 days after development abdominal bloating and heaviness in the stomach for +- 35 days
5 days after developing excess gases by up and down, which last for 50 days
55 days after developing sore throat and some dry mouth, which last the last 23 days
I also had intestinal malabsorption in those days
Had  swelling of the salivary gland left, along with the dry mouth that last for a month.

After 13 days, modular roche Ag p24/ Ab negative (0,35)
After 38 days, modular roche Ag p24 / Ab negative (0,15) and Bio Rad Ag p24/ Ab negative (0,41)
After 42 days, modular roche Ag p24 / Ab negative (0,19)
After 60 days, modular roche Ag p24/ Ab negative (0,21) (Thank God)

I am very concerned with this dry mouth.

Need some more testing?
It is possible these tests have lost an infection?
In the meantime, I had an unprotected intercourse with my wife, and I was desperate, I can stay calm?
Thank you Dr.
Sérgio R from Brazil .

Final answer.  Einstein said at one definition of insanity is to do the same thing again and again and to expect different outcomes.  Your repetitive questions will not change my, or Dr. Handsfield's assessment - YOUR TESTS PROVE YOU ARE NOT INFECTED WITH HIV FROM THE EXPOSURE YOU DESCRIBE.

End of thread. EWH

Dr, you stop me sorry to be bothering you, but I'm freaking out.
Today, appeared in my wife a lymph node in the middle of the neck, I'm desperate.

Forgot to mention that I had a bit of anemia during this period.
I was afraid of not being sensitive antigen p24, and these tests have lost something.
I have full assurance that I was not infected?
Thank you Dr.

I'm sorry you feel the need to return to the Forum.  I will be anwering this question today.  Dr. Handsfield and I share the Forum and I have reviewed yoru earlier interaction with him.  I agree with all he said, including his statement that you do not seem to be listening to his replies.  He was very clear- your tests PROVE that you did not get HIV.  In the contect of multiple negative tests, neither the type of partner nor your symptoms make any diffference at all.  When symptoms and tests results differ and the test has been done at the correct time, the test is always the correct answer.  In your case, your testing with a DUO type assay at 38, 42, and 60 days each rule out the possiblity of HIV.  The combination tests provide definitvie results at 28 days after exposure.  The last two tests you did were a waste of time and money as your 38 day test was defintive.

Further, your gastrointestinal symptoms are non-specific and are not suggestive of recently acquired HIV infection.

You did not get HIV from the exposure you describe and do not need further tests.  There is no need for you to abstain from unprotected intercourse with your wife related to the exposure that you describe. EWH
