Hi guys.please help with these questions. I know that DocHHH Says symptoms are bad indicators of HIV infection however is it possible to  get infected without showing any symptoms at all? what are the most obvious, the most common symptoms that infected people will show? what is the connection betwwen the strength of our immune system and the appearance of antibodies?

Of course symptoms are never a reliable indicator of a new infection. The most prominent symptom from what I have gathered is fever, to what extent others will have to chime in, I have heard rash comes with the fever but I don't know if that happens all the time, and then generalized lymphadenopathy (swollen lymph nodes, doctor prescribed) and not just one swollen node several like the ones in the neck, arm pit, groin, etc. I hope this information helps and we are here if you have more questions. Goodluck and Godbless!

Thanks for the feedback. Still would like to know whether it is possible for virus to enter the human body but one doesn't expreience any symptoms ( no reactions)
The other question is what is the connection between a strong immune system and the appearance of antibodies on the test? thanks a lot . It is a difficult time indeed

Yes, one can be asymptomatic and experience no symptoms. I believe Teak did not experience any symptoms in the beginning and I have read on aidsmeds where many ppl do not experience symptoms but are positive. This is why the doc on here says that symptoms are never a reliable indicator of a new hiv infection one because everyone is different some will have them some will not and lastly I have read where 80-90% will produce ars symptoms and the other percentage remaining will not and then some people will have worse reactions than others which overall is the reason I believe symptoms are not a reliable indicator and the test is. Goodluck and Godbless!
