So scared

11 days ago, I met a male stranger and we had sex. I was ludicrously drunk and I think I may have penetrated him without protection, whilst I think I attempted it and found it painful and unsuccessful, it still may have happened - if only briefly. I have been extremely worried about it since and went into anxiety overdrive immediately upon waking. I visited an STD clinic after 3 days and was told to came back 7 days later for screening. I was screened yesterday and will have to wait a week for some results and 2 weeks for others. I had some pain in my testicles and 'tingling' at the tip of my penis prior to the screening, no discharge. Since the screening, which I found immensely stressful, my testicles have become very painful. I am an anxious person and I am chewing on this in my mind constantly. Is there anything you can say?

I don't have contact with him and I know what  I did  was wreckless and own worst enemy not own best friend behaviour - I am nonplussed at how stupid it was. I will not do so again. Thank you for your generous response. Next week's result is step one. Cheers

Nearly a weak ago I was in a drunken stupor and could not fight off a prostitute.  The sex was absolutely terrible and in the middle of penetration the condom tore.  I immediately withdrew and washed quickly.  In my drunken stupor she suggested mutual masturbation and I agreed.  I was wondering how much female secretion is required to transmit HIV?  Is it also possible that the anxiety over HIV results may produce some of the symptoms (fatigue and muscle aches)?  In addition are there numbers available (a percentage perhaps) as to how many infected people show early signs of infections and how many people do not?  As it stands I have a sore throat and diahrea that were most likely due to jet lag and travel.  I am in terrible shape waiting for my results and these answers can give me slight peace of mind.  Thanks in advance.

if you still have contact with the guy ask kim about STD illnesses he might know his HIV status ( hopefully negative). Unprotected anal sex with an unknown person with unknown status was wreckless. It is very likely you were not infected however, more often than not infection does not occur from a single exposure, even if one person is infected.

The bad news is that you just put yourself in what is called the window period, a 3 months or 90 days nightmare of waiting for a conclusive result. I which you the best in the next 10-11 weeks. Try your best to not think about it and stay calm.

learn your lesson and always use condom, specially with strangers!

I agree with the alcohol comment - I've never taken such a risk before. I have seen that there are possible early symptoms such as sore throat, swollen glands etc. which can be present from 2 - 6 weeks after. I appreciate you bothering to respond

First off sex and excessive drinking don't mix. Forget about the symptoms when it comes to HIV. HIV has no specific symptoms. I'm sure, had you penetrated him you would have known, drunk or not. If you want to obtain a conclusive negative test, test at 3 month and collect your result.
